The quality of our work is expressed by the passion, dynamism and energy we invest in it. More than services, we offer experiences, tailor-made solutions and innovations based on rigour and precision. Our team puts all its knowledge and know-how to support you, because each project is unique and deserves the best we have to offer.
GEOSPATIAL DATA COLLECTION
Our strength is our ability to adapt to the client’s reality and the specific project objectives. We adjust our acquisition platform and sensors to meet the unique needs of each mandate, taking into consideration the project budget, the type of data required, the area to be covered, and specifications of deliverbales, including accuracy, precision, and resolution.
Airborne Acquisition Platforms
Drone
The versatility of the drone allows to quickly gather geospatial data in hard-to-reach areas, making it an ideal platform for periodic surveys of small and medium-sized areas. Lower flight altitudes and slower speeds facilitates unparalleled accuracy, coverage, and resolution.
- Ideal for small and medium-sized areas (less than 20 km²)
- Ideal for remote and hard-to-reach areas
- High level of accuracy, precision, and density
- Multi-sensor acquisition platform (Lidar, RGB colour, multispectral, hyperspectral and thermal cameras).
- Image resolution: Between 3 mm and 10 cm
- Lidar point cloud density: Between 50 pt/m2 and 800 pt/m²
- Absolute precision: 3 cm and more (XYZ)
Helicopter
Used for medium to large projects, helicopters can cover vast areas quickly and efficiently. Its controllable speed allows us to acquire more precise data at a better resolution and density than a fixed-wing aircraft.
- Ideal for large areas (over 20 km²)
- Multi-sensor acquisition platform (Lidar and RGB colour camera)
- Image resolution: Between 2.5 cm and 15 cm
- Mean Lidar point cloud density: Between 5 and 100 pts/m²
- Absolute accuracy: 5 cm and more (XYZ)
Terrestrial Acquisition Platforms
Terrestrial Laser Scan or HDS
Terrestrial laser scanning or High Definition Scanning (HDS) involves using a stationary laser scanner to quickly capture high density, survey grade point data of existing conditions. The stationary laser scanner can be relocated around the study area to create a network of scans, improving coverage. This is the most accurate lidar technology; with a range of up to a few hundred meters, some equipment can capture millions of points in a single scan. This technology is often used to obtain survey-grade data for a variety of use cases including civil design, infrastructure monitoring, and BIM applications.
- Ideal for design work in civil engineering and architecture as well as indoor surveys
- Relative accuracy: millimeter
- Absolute accuracy: can vary from mm to cm depending on the distance from scanner
- Range is up to a few hundred meters
- Point cloud density: several thousand points/m²
Mobile
Lidar sensors can be mounted on to a mobile platform, like a car, to quickly capture surrounding roads and buildings. Very useful in the transportation, civil engineering, and urban planning sectors, this technology provides high precision data.
- Ideal for regular monitoring or road and rail networks, urban data acquisition, or long corridor-type projects
- High level of accuracy and precision
- Density of the Lidar point cloud: Between 500 pt/m² and 1500 pt/m²
- Absolute accuracy: 2 cm and more
