Cut Fill Surveying
FASTER, MORE ACCURATE, AND SAFER CUT AND FILL SURVEYS
Cut & Fill is an integral part of our drone services. There is no room for error when it comes to its calculation – our customers need to know how much material is on-site and where it can be repurposed.
Drones provide high-resolution models from which 3D maps can be quickly created. These maps can be used for detailed 3D cut and fill maps, which is a useful and beneficial tool to guide excavation teams to the most efficient use of material, equipment and labour. The diagrams are generated by taking accurate measurements from the drone data of the existing topography and elevation and then overlaying a digital map of the desired topography. With colour and 3D, the map will show the specific areas where the land needs to be cut or filled. Using a 3D cut and fill map will enable you to move the earth in the most logical way, which reduces labour, equipment, and materials costs. Drones also do a better job at measuring stockpiles because they can take pictures at so many different angles, which is impossible with other methods.
With our drone equipment, we can help your company precisely, safely, and quickly map topography that is difficult to access on foot. This can result in more accurate and reliable data as you move forward with the Cut and Fill Survey process. Additionally, since our aircraft are controlled remotely, we will not interrupt production at the worksite.
